Daffodil Fayre, Sunday 23rd March 2003Around 65 Soroptimists and guests from Gosport, Guildford, Chichester, Lewisham. Sevenoaks, Beckenham, Tunbridge Wells, Ashford, Haywards Heath and East Grinstead joined Lewes members and enjoyed warm spring sunshine in Piltdown. Unusually for the time of year, many were able to sit outside and enjoy their cream tea.

Bluebell Sunday - 12th May 2002For the first time, this annual event was a joint venture between SI Lewes and the Lewes Pestalozzi Support Group. About 65 guests enjoyed a walk through the bluebell woods in warm sunshine, followed by a cream tea. At the beginning of the afternoon, the change of insignia took place. Pat Seager handed over the Presidential Badge and Chain to Theresa Jerrett and received the Immediate Past President's Badge from Topsy Hughes.
Cheque Presentation at Demelza House - 27th April 2002At the end of her Presidential year, President Pat Seager, Beryl Bartter, Topsy Hughes and Anne Hudson went to an Open Day at Demelza House Children's Hospice near Sittingbourne in Kent. This was Pat's chosen charity and a cheque was presented.

During her Presidential Year, Anne Hudson raised money from Daffodil Fayre, Bluebell Sunday and other events for the Pestalozzi Childrens Village Trust at Sedlescombe. Patricia Rogers, Director of the Pestalozzi Childrens Village Trust, was guest speaker at Anne's Presidential Lunch at Rowfant and was presented by Anne with a cheque. A further cheque was presented at an Indian Evening held in the Village on May 20th 2000.
