We have friendship links with SI Kathmandu and SI Tenby
From 9 - 17th May 2013, President Anne Hudson visited Kathmandu where she and Andrew met members of our Friendship link Club SI Kathmandu.  From left to right Radha Nepal, Uma Badal, Anne Hudson, Kabita Thapaliya, President Uma Bhandari and Deepa Khakurel.  They also met with students from the Pestalozzi International Village who had been members of their host families.  The Pestalozzi International Village in Sedlescombe, East Sussex is supported in many ways by SI Lewes and District.

At the club meeting on Wednesday 29th May 2013, President Anne and incoming President Sarah Mackintosh unwrapped the gift presented by SI Kathmandu during Anne’s visit.  The beautiful box will now be used to house the Presidential Chain.  Our sincere thanks to members of our first Friendship Link.

In late October at the 2013 SIGBI Conference in Gateshead, Anne Hudson was able to meet Uma Badal from SI Kathmandu After conference Sarah Mackintosh, Lara Khoury and Anne Hudson were able to meet Uma at 63 Bayswater Road.

Anne Hudson visited Kathmandu again from 29 April until 6 May, 2014. A Sussex trug was presented to members of friendship link club SI Kathmandu. Anne and Andrew also visited Bloom Nepal School and gave a donation from SI Lewes to support a girl’s education.
At the first meeting of the new Presidential Year on 28 May, 2014 Anne Hudson presented Amanda with a gift from SI Kathmandu.

Four members of the Lewes Club and their partners travelled to South Wales for the 60th Anniversary celebrations of their friendship link club, SI Tenby.

After the celebration dinner, Sue Walton presented the President of SI Tenby with an engraved Sussex Trug to mark their Diamond Anniversary.
