Harvest Thanksgiving Service
The Harvest Thanksgiving service will be held in the Church on Sunday 7th October at 10.30 am (Please note later time). Everyone is welcome.
The plough will be carried up to the altar by some of our local farmers who will be participating in the service. We very much hope that the Fletching Scouts, Cubs and Beavers will be in attendance.
All children are invited to bring gifts of Harvest produce (Fresh, or in packets, tins or jars). The produce will later be taken to the Uckfield Food Bank for distribution amongst the local community. Fletching School will hold a separate service during the week and their food gifts will also be taken to a local food bank, as in previous years.
The collection at the service will be divided between The Prince's Countryside Trust and Farm Africa.

Wanted! Handbell Ringers
Have you ever wanted to learn to ring handbells? Now's your chance as Fletching Handbell Band are looking for new recruits. Anyone from the age of 10 upwards is welcome. No musical experience is necessary, You must also be available for performances.
We practise on Tuesday evening from 6.30pm until 7.30pm in the tower at the Parish Church. We start practice at the beginning of October. If you would like to come and see if it is for you, please contact Sonia Harriyott on 01825 761108.
Your Belfry Needs You
We are looking to recruit a couple of people to join our band of bell ringers, here in Fletching, in order to keep the church bells ringing. Knowledge of music is not necessary, nor is strength. A sense of rhythm and a degree of commitment are all that are required. We will train you, whether you are young or not quite so young, although if you are very young and/or small, we might have to ask you to wait until you have grown a little. Training sessions will probably take place on Friday evenings.
So why not come and have a go? If you are interested, please contact your Tower Captain, Tim Evans, on 01273 400835.
Alternatively, please visit the tower on a Sunday morning, between 9.30 and 10.00am, to meet the band and see what goes on.
