"Mother of Millions" was set up and is run by an inspirational woman called Faith. The project supports the children of women incarcerated in Zambia. These children are imprisoned alongside their mothers and are left without schooling or leisure activities. Faith started this project to teach and care for those children, some of whom have never seen life outside a prison. She also continues to support them when they leave the prison but their mothers are still inside.
One of the activities Faith runs for the children is football but suitable footwear is in short supply and the children are often playing in bare feet.
Can you help?
We are collecting football boots and trainers (new, nearly new or very good used condition) in children and young adult sizes. If you can collect boots and trainers from your community please get in touch with me via Email and to arrange collection. email@example.com

Song of Reed staring Mark Rylance and Sophie Okonedo
Ella Dorman-Gajic, poet, script writer, actor and daughter of a Lewes Club Soroptimist has been a regular speaker at the club's meetings. Most recently performing her poems and hosting the International Women's Day Zoom meeting on 8th March.
She has recently recorded the radio 4 drama with Sophie Okonedo and Mark Rylance about a nature reserve in Norfolk and its imminent demise. It fits with the environment theme of the region this year. It is in four parts on each equinox of the year. Do listen out for it. It will also be on catch up if you don't hear it live.

The Emotion Game is a simple card game designed to help children identify, manage and understand their emotions. It is designed to help children express how they feel; and think about ways to actively deal with any difficult feelings.
These games have been distributed throughout ESFCA foster families across East Sussex where they will help looked after children as they return to school, adjust to school transitions, as well as the struggle with lockdown conditions and social distancing.
